Well, it didn't get too long to be there. Less than 1 year since they've started this massive vaccination campaign, we've been already through a couple of phases: vaccinate the old people, vaccinate the regular population, coerce unvaccinated by imposing covid passes, destroy the economy and social life in a series of useless lockdowns and mask mandates.
Even so, this is not enough and the next step is already set in motion with feverish haste: mandatory vaccination (Austria and Germany, some other countries to follow). But reaching that point is useless if you cannot force vaccination on already vaccinated people! In the Netherlands for example, less than 15% of eligible population is unvaccinated. The whole point of this mandate is to include everyone. And this is done by boosters (wrongly named, since they don't improve anything extra at all - but repeated vaccination is not sounding right therefore the chosen booster).
But since a lot of already vaccinated people will refuse to continue this charade (they got lied by the government when they've been promised to regain freedom if they would take the shots - thing that didn't happen), the next logical step is to expire the already existing COVID passes and let them hit the dirt with the rest of the unvaccinated - this unless they obey, and continue to take shots.
The EU seems to be aiming for a mandatory booster shot within nine months to keep your coronavirus access pass valid from the start of February.
According to caretaker Minister Hugo de Jonge, the EU health ministers agreed in principle in Brussels, and the decision only needs to be formalized in the coming days. The digital coronavirus certificate (DCC) is "a good way to keep the borders open," he said.
This is exactly what was planned in the first place. And even now, with all shouts of it's a conspiracy and anti-vaxxer, you can plainly see where is heading. The digital certificate will not open borders, it will actually close them; it's about control and superseeding the national passports and cancelling the free circulation within European Union (at least as we know it pre-covid).
According to De Jonge, "jointness" is the keyword to get the coronavirus situation in the EU under control again. Member States should not take measures on their own to hinder free travel within the EU. "Out together, home together," he said. He is also in favor of requiring travelers, including vaccinated ones, who come to Europe from outside the EU to undergo a PCR test upon arrival, he told his colleagues.
Basically read this in the mirror, and you get the message. The EU countries should obey the same measures (yeah, including Poland and Hungary) and hinder free travel within the EU. Everyone will move only if they full obey the mandatory vaccination on a regular basis.

On the other side of the world, New Zealand Prime Minister Admits "There's Not Going To Be An End Point To This Vaccination Program". Of course not! Why it would be?
Once the full mandates are in place, a constant flow of vaccines and money spent on them will become the norm. Then more vaccines would be added to the recipe, since sky is the limit. The governments and their experts can invent every year new variants, and exhaust all the letters in the Greek alphabet to name them.
