If 85% of fully vaccinated adults* in the Netherlands thought they're going to have a nice, quite (even white) Christmas, then they were absolutely wrong. Dutch government is still thinking they're not doing enough to protect the population, therefore there's need for even more restrictions.

If you're not a parent**, it's probably that you're not affected. But for all the others, this is a completely pain in the back with children at home, doing online schooling. The lack of social interaction puts a lot of pressure over the kids, and the continuous state of panic is having a toll over the young ones.
Prime Minister Mark Rutte called the it a “setback,” but said it should not come as a surprise. He and Health Minister Hugo de Jonge said the decision was largely made out of concern for the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus
Omicron! The mildest variation of the waning virus. The laughing stock of this disease. But he's right; it would be a surprise indeed for the governments all over the globe to stop this nonsense now.
"Worrying does not help combat the virus. Vaccination does. If you have not yet been vaccinated, the Omicron variant is the reason to rethink vaccination,” De Jonge said.
If vaccination does what is suppose to do, then why the heck we need extra shots?? If I'm not vaccinated, then definitely I can easily pass Omicron. And even if I want to take extra shots, I don't see any reasons to keep the whole economy closed for this crap.
All other existing lockdown restrictions, including the limitations on household guests, will also continue for four more weeks than initially planned.
The whole circus will continue until January 14, and then most likely further. Most of the organizations will closed at 5 p.m. therefore there will be no celebrations in restaurants, pubs or any other places. And now I'm asking: how does it feel to voluntarily take two jabs and instead of the promised freedom, all you get is the request to do another jab? And another booster after that and so on?
An additional injection “again increases the protection to at least 75 percent against infection,” De Jonge stated
He added that "we will have to live with" the coronavirus.
Again, the same bullshit with 75, 85, or whatever percentage you feel comfortable. No idea where he gets the numbers. But he's right when he says that we have to live with the coronavirus. But do we have to live with the lockdowns and the other official restrictions for the years for come?
And it is still impossible to say "how long we have to go from booster to booster," he stated.
"Unfortunately, we don't have an answer to that."

And we have the answer to that, moron: it's 7 months. Or 6 months. Or any other number of months when an expert will tells us that the vaccinates are dropping efficiency or the government decides that we really need extra protection.
Really, does anyone believes that the pharmaceutical companies put some much effort only for 2 shots??
