Adding to the long list of well-recognized European values—like supporting terrorism in Syria, ignoring the genocide in Gaza, or perpetuating a never-ending war in Ukraine—EU leaders add another: blatantly ignoring the democratic will of voters in Romania and replacing it with a curated solution.
Călin Georgescu, the winner from the first round of elections in Romania, is simply taken out of the game because his views don't align well with those of Ursula von der Leyen. First, he's arrested; then he's charged with absurd claims; and finally, he's completely denied the opportunity to participate in the second round of elections.

Spooks, Deep State, and NATO’s Handlers
• Pricopie hired ex-Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) deputy director Florian Coldea, a disgraced spook under investigation for drug trafficking links. Until last summer, Coldea was shaping young minds at SNSPA.
• Pricopie is tight with George Maior, former SRI boss, NATO cheerleader, and one of the key architects of Romania’s servitude to Washington. Maior has been a regular speaker at Harvard, the Atlantic Council, and AIPAC. You don’t get a better CV for a globalist errand boy.
A Lapdog for the Political Elite
• Outgoing President Klaus Iohannis, another Brussels puppet, awarded Pricopie the Order of the Star of Romania for his “contributions” to the Fulbright Program—a US State Department soft-power vehicle designed to recruit foreign elites into the American orbit.
• Pricopie was even floated as a PM candidate by establishment parties, confirming his deep entrenchment in the comprador class.
The Agenda Is Clear: Pricopie and his handlers fear Georgescu because he represents something they cannot control, Romanian sovereignty. That’s why he cheered when the first election was stolen through “irregularities,” calling it proof the system works.
