Trump - Completely Delusional or Master of Trolling?

The project Ukraine goes on

 Politics   September 26, 2025

Following a very fruitful meeting with Zelensky, Trump made a bizarre declaration that might qualify as a refined form of trolling.

After getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation and, after seeing the Economic trouble it is causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form. With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started is very much an option. Why not? Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years a war that should have taken a Real Military Power less than a week to win. This is not distinguishing Russia. In fact, it is very much making them look like "a paper tiger." When the people living in Moscow, and all of the Great Cities, Towns, and Districts all throughout Russia, find out what is really going on with this War, the fact that it's almost impossible for them to get Gasoline through the long lines that are being formed, and all of the other things that are taking place in their War Economy, where most of their money is being spent on fighting Ukraine, which has Great Spirit, and only getting better, Ukraine would be able to take back their Country in its original form and, who knows, maybe even go further than that! Putin and Russia are in BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act. In any event, I wish both countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all!

The continuous shifts in Trump's position on the war in Ukraine are well known. This is the same war he promised, before the election, to end in a single day. This time, however, he has crossed several lines, leaving everyone wondering what is going on.

He is now claiming that Ukraine will be able to recover its lost territories—a statement that ignores recent history. We all remember how the Kursk incursion ultimately ended for Ukraine.

Russia has been fighting aimlessly.

Hmm, the situation on the front is showing something else, but we continue.

... look like "a paper tiger"

He's trolling Russia calling it a "paper tiger". Kremlin spox Peskov declares:

Russia is not a tiger, but a bear, and there is no such thing as a 'paper bear'

He states that people in all cities will be queuing for gasoline. This is a strange prediction for a country that, not long ago, was dismissively referred to as nothing more than a "big gas station with missiles."

Furthermore, he is telling Russians to be angry about how their money is spent. Yet, he does not tell the same thing to the Americans and Europeans—countries that have spent a huge amount of taxpayer money to support this very project.

Russia in big economic trouble.

As we speak, in 2025...

Russia is ranked as the fourth-largest economy in the world by purchasing power parity (PPP), according to data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. This ranking places Russia ahead of Japan and Germany, with its GDP in PPP terms amounting to 3.55% of the global total in 2024, surpassing Japan's 3.38%.

We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them

Of course, what other option is there? The United States cannot afford to lose another war, yet, at the same time, it cannot afford to continue this one. Trump does not want to lose face in the Ukraine affair—a "war started by Biden," as he has stated. However, he also cannot simply walk away, even though that would have been the most sensible course of action immediately after the election.

Since NATO is fundamentally underwritten by the US, America will continue to supply weapons to Ukraine through the alliance, with the financial burden shared by both the US and the EU.

Now, there are some sources that are almost getting it right. Telegraph concludes that:

Trump is washing his hands of the Ukraine war… It sounds like he’s had enough
