Digital Covid Certificate: European health experts look to build on success story
The title by itself is poetry. Health experts?! Yes, the same ones that ignored natural immunity, the same that were shouting that the vaccines have over 90% efficiency, and there are no side effects (except for a couple of pages from the Pfizer reports). The ones that believed that wearing a mask everywhere will prevent infections. But not at least, the ones that were advising governments how to impose more lockdowns and more restrictions, making everyone's life unnecessary miserable.
And what they want to do now? Build on a success story. What success? We're lucky enough at this moment that we don't have to show QR codes everywhere you go. Things might change though soon after this summer, since European Commission is far from ending this whole (success) story.
Acting on a proposal of the European Commission, the European Parliament voted to renew EU Digital Covid Certificate for another year. Why is this still necessary after the deadly Covid variants are long in the past now? Well, to facilitate a safe travel between European countries. And by safe travel means that you'll travel less and less, since the whole quarantine conditions and testing and the forced vaccination makes your travel a nightmare.
What is even more interesting, is that the decision was taken despite a overwhelmingly negative results of a public consultation on the subject. The consultation included more than 385,000 responses – and almost all of which appear to be opposed to renewal! But hey! Screw those peasants, we (EU bureaucrats) know better.

Hello, I am shocked and disgusted by the freedom-killing decisions taken in the EU … as regards this “European certificate” …

You can read on this very site about the previous situation in the Netherlands, which basically was designed to create a separated society, one that obeys the government decision to get vaccinated no matter what, and the other which will be punished if otherwise. And by vaccinated, the government meant every time they requested. Like every 9 months.
By having these QR codes in place, it's easier to control in a centralized manner the flow of citizens in the EU. The local rules and laws don't apply anymore, and the whole decisional power is concentrated above the national governments. The EU becomes a super-state that ignores national differences and opinions. It's about a huge control imposed by a few.
Take a look back and notice how EU is dictating now how much you're allowed to travel, how much meat you have to eat (or not), what kind of a car you have the right to drive, how your home will be heated up, and how your national identify is thrown in the trash bin, in the name of greater ideas, fighting climate change and "welcome migrants" policies. How much the money in your pocket will worth (hint: less and less by the year).
The situation deteriorates so fast, that Russia starts to look as a democracy sanctuary comparing with the European Union.

It was endorsed by the European Commission, but that mention got removed meanwhile and now you only just have the authors.
